CHINA EXPLORES BISLIG BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

Consul General Li Lin headed a delegation composed of representatives from Chinese companies and local overseas Chinese businessmen for a two-day official visit to Bislig City, Surigao del Sur from July 11 to 12. On July 11, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the city government led by Hon. Mayor Enciong Garay upon arrival. Mindanao Development Authority Secretary Mabel Acosta and staff also joined the visit.

In the reception, Consul General Li Lin expressed his deepest appreciation for the hospitality the delegation received. Touring around and conducting site visits at PICOP Area Pier 1 and 2, Bayfront, new coastal road, and local airport enabled him to know more about Bislig. He said that despite the short visit, the beautiful scenery, dynamic economy, and friendly and hospitable local people left a deep impression on the delegation. He further emphasized the consensus of the state leaders of the two countries to have deeper cooperation in agriculture, infrastructure, energy, and humanities. He then introduced the delegation of Chinese companies in detail and hoped that the Consulate General and LGU Bislig could work together to bring more benefits to the two peoples. READ MORE

MinDA Secretary Maria Belen Sunga Acosta joined Consul General Li Lin of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Davao and the Chinese Business Delegation during their courtesy visit to Bislig City Monday, July 11.

The visit aims to explore business opportunities in Bislig to complement their initiatives in establishing an economic zone, which is seen to propel socio-economic growth in the area.
