PACQUIAO snaps at Bongbong washing his hands off his dictator father’s cruel martial rule

He can’t say he did not know

Born in 1957, former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. was 15 years old when his father, the late dictator President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., declared martial law in 1972.

Bongbong also served as vice-governor of Ilocos Norte from 1981-1983 and governor of the same province until 1986 when his father was deposed in the four-day EDSA revolution.

With these facts of history, presidential candidate Senator Manny Pacquiao on Friday, October 15, snapped at Bongbong, fellow presidential candidate, for saying that he did not know what was happening when his father was president.

Pacquiao dismissed claim by the son of the late dictator that he was too young to know what was going on during his father’s rule.

“Alamin natin ang tunay na pagkatao ng isang tao, tunay na damdamin at saloobin na gustong magserbisyo ng bansa,” he said.

PACQUIAO TO BONGBONG MARCOS: Return ill-gotten wealth, apologize to Filipinos

Whatever ill-gotten wealth they have, they should return it to the government because the public is clamoring for it, said Senator Manny Pacquiao refering to the Marcos family in a remark intended for former senatorFerdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. ., the son of the late president Ferdinand Marcos.

Like Pacquiao, Bngbong is also running for for presidency in the 2022 national elections.

The Marcos family should return their ill-gotten wealth and apologize for abuses during the presidency of their late patriarch, Pacquiao said Friday.

Pacquiao said he is open to review the cases related to the Marcoses’ ill-gotten wealth should he be elected as president.

ADO PAGLINAWAN: Bongbong Marcos, not Sara Duterte, should be President in 2022

Sara an unknown quantity

I say if you really are for Sara, you would respect her decision and not throw her to the lions at the time when is uncomfortable to fight a fight that will not be yours but her own.

I could not understand why you are pitting her for presidency when she is unprepared – SHE IS YET AN UNKNOWN QUANTITY.

What is her stand on the South China Seas, on the Chinese, the Americans now the Australians, and Asean? How will she cure the moribund state of our agricultural economy that her father has turned over to the traders?

How does she propose to turnaround our commercial and industrial economy? Post-pandemic when we need close to create 7 million jobs. I can go on and on and the only reason why the yellows and the oligarchs have taken over the Run-Sara-Run is because she favors opening ABS-CBN – the only stand I know about her on national issues.

This piece is a reprint of a comment by Ado Paglinawan to a story by Roger M. Balanza published in The Durian Post and posted on Facebook

For the meantime all the four opposition candidates have positioned themselves, especially in Mindanao in anticipation of her running for the presidency armed with American and oligarchic gold to make sure the Dutertes are routed out in Mindanao that they consider their bailiwick.

Meron syang diskarteng presidential at meron syang tibay ng kalooban to stand against populist emotionalism. Anak sya ni Digong na calculating ang decision, hindi pabigla-bigla kaya nga tayo ang nabibigla dahil hindi sya tradpol na karamihan sa atin.

In fact she is made of even sturdier stuff than her father – she is half German afterall!

Aba do you know what it takes to say no to accolade of almost thunderous clamor, especially among women voters. Ang daming nasira dyan, una na sina Isko, Pinky, Pakyu at Leni.

Not Sara.

Her ultimate show of humility is that she knows Bongbong Marcos will best the country starting next year.

Serafin Ledesma JrAdo, i suggest you just stick to your own agenda. With the way you appraise Davao City Mayor Inday Sara, it is so obvious that you know very little of her. The reason why BongBong and even Imee developed a bond of friendship, Imee in particular, is on account of their mutual respect of their political stand, knowledge of geopolitical matters and dedication to public service.Leave Balanza and the rest to their own …as you say “analysis”. This is a free country. Cool it man.

Balanza Montano Rogelio Sr.Ado Paglinawan Nice piece Ado. Your convulted assessment of Mayor Inday Sara, her politics and the 2022 presidential election; and yur dislike for Inday Sara to become the next President spiced up by your disregard of the voices of the millions of Filipinos who support that direction for Inday Sara, confirms what I had long ago confirmed: Ado is a reincarnation of the much-hated late president Ferdinand Marcos, sent down to earth by Satan, to help the son become president to be able to subject the nation into more suffering as in the days of the cruel dictator. What a shame!

MARCOS slammed for using emergency alert text blasts for political propaganda

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) frownson politicins using the emergency alert system for purposes of political propaganda.

“Ill-advised,” said the Comelec on Wednesday, October 6, after alert messages appeared following the filing of a certificate of candidacy for president by former senator Bongbong Marcos.

“Needless to say, the use of the emergency alert system for political propaganda purposes is ill-advised, at best. Whether or not criminal liability will attach to those who are behind this move will have to be determined by the appropriate agencies of government,” Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez .

The text blasts  were sent to those present at the Harbor Garden Tent of Sofitel in Pasay City after Bongbong Marcos, son of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, formalized his presidential bid.

The emergency alert used words that start with the acronym BBM or short for Bongbong Marcos. The hashtag #BBM2022 also appeared on the alert message.

Marcos camp cries ‘political sabotage,” disowns emergency alert blasts

The camp of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bong Bong” Marcos Jr. is supporting the investigation on the emergency alerts containing campaign messages promoting his camp when he filed his candidacy on Wednesday, saying these were “political sabotage”.

In a statement on Wednesday, Marcos chief-of-staff, lawyer Victor Rodriguez, said such “underhanded moves” should not be tolerated as the emergency alert system is a tool used to warn the public of disasters.

“We hope that the responsible parties do not interfere with government systems just to operate political sabotage against presidential aspirant Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos,” Rodriguez said.

He supported the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and its intention to investigate the improper use of the emergency alert system.

In a separate statement, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said the emergency alert promoting Marcos did not come from them nor from their partners in the telecommunications sector.

“Emergency notifications issued today by the NDRRMC are only about rainfall warnings due to the current weather disturbance and nothing else,” the NDRRMC said.

Earlier, NTC Commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba ordered an “immediate” investigation into the emergency alerts, with telecommunications companies so far confirming that they did not release any such messages. (PNA)

MARCOS supporters behind “emergency alert” sent out as Bongbong filed COC for president

NDRRMC denies sending ‘alert’

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) denied involvement in the dissemination of an alleged emergency warning when former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) at the Sofitel Harbor Garden Tent in Pasay City on Wednesday.

“We wish to clarify that the NDRRMC does not issue this type of message for distribution to the public through our telco (telecommunications) partners. Our usage of the emergency mobile alerts system only follows the prescription of RA (Republic Act) 10639 or the Free Mobile Disaster Alerts Law which requires that warning messages must be hazard-specific, time-bound, and area-specific,” NDRRMC deputy spokesperson Mark Cashean Timbal said in a message to reporters.

Members of the media who were covering the sixth day of the COC filing period received the alert message when Marcos arrived at the filing venue. Read More
