SISON: ROXAS HAS NO COMPASSION OR HEART FOR THE POOR

‘TUWAD NA DAAN’ A

‘KISS OF DEATH’

FOR ROXAS

President Benigno Aquino and his ‘tuwad na daan’ program is presidential candidate Mar Roxas’ ‘kiss of death.’

This indictment was dished out by Jose Maria Sison, founder of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), as Roxas, the standard bearer of the ruling Liberal Party, continues to push Aquino’s ‘Tuwid na Daan’ IStraight Path) governance as an agenda he would continue if elected president in the 2016 election.

Jestingly calling Aquino’s slogan as ‘tuwad na daan’ (roughly translated as crooked path), Sison said Roxas’ presidential bid would crash if he continues to boast about Aquino’s slogan.

Sison gave his observation of Roxas and other presidential candidates – Vice President Jejomar Binay,Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, Senator Grace Poe and Senator Miriam Santiago – in a recent interview with rappler.com at his base in Utrecht, Netherlands where he is on political asylum.

Sison said Roxas also has a problem with connecting with the poor.

Roxas, according to Sison, only mimics the poor but has no heart and compassion for them.

Roxas, the richest candidate running for President in the 2016 election, earlier reaped a whirlwind of criticism from Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) for saying that airplane passengers, not the government,  should be faulted if they are caught with  bullets in their luggage at the airport.

He dished out the statement at the height of the Laglag-Bala controversy. Some of the victims of the extortion racket by airport personnel and police are OFWs. Migrante had warned OFWs would shot down Roxas bid with a boycott at the polls. Unfazed, Roxas said he could win the election without the votes of the migrant workers.
