This has begun last 2011 under the administration of Former Pres. Benigno Simeon Aquino III.

In pursuant to total electrification, the NEA’s mandate towards enhanced distribution development was further strengthened in its new charter under Republic Act No. 10531.As of 2020, NORDECO has energized 462 Sitios which lighted 13,985 households costing to Php 525,447,530.47 Million Pesos.

These were energized under the Sitio Electrification Program or SEP of the National Government under the Budget Appropriation of the National Electrification Administration downloaded to the Electric Cooperatives.

For the year 2021, NORDECO is set to light up 45 sitios as part of its Sitio Electrification Program.

While there are still areas unenergized, even in the most remote sitios or on the steepest hills, the mission of the electric coop continues towards rural electrification.
