The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday it is still monitoring a typhoon with international name “Mindulle” outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
“Mindulle” is forecast to move generally north northwestward until Tuesday and may enter the PAR on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Once inside the PAR, the domestic name “Lannie” will be assigned to this tropical cyclone.
“This typhoon is unlikely to directly affect the weather condition of the country throughout the forecast period. However, it may cause moderate to rough seas over the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon beginning on Monday primarily due to swells,” PAGASA said.
