Other than her estranged driver-bodyguard lover Ronnie Dayan, there are two other Romeos in the life of Senator Leila de Lima.
“Tatlo daw,” said House Speaker Pantaleon “Bebot” Alvarez in ABS/CBN’s Umagang Kay Ganda public affairs television program this morning, November 24.
Alvarez’ interview by phone was a few hours ahead of a inquiry by the House of Representatives into proliferation of drug trade in the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
De Lima is alleged to have milked incarcerated drug lords in the national penitentiary for campaign funds for her senatorial bid in the 2016 election.
Dayan, with which De Lima admits she had an illicit relation starting when she was Secretary of Justice under the Benigno Aquino presidency, is alleged to be the Senator’s “bagman” who collected drug money from drug dealers inside NBP.
Dayan, subject of warrant of arrest issued by House for refusing to attend hearings of the Committee on Justice, was arrested in La Union after months of hiding.
He is a vital witness who could pin down De Lima over her alleged links to the drug lords in the national prison, according to Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre.
Arrested confessed Eastern Visayas drug lord Kerwin Es[inosa said he gave P8 million to De Lima’s campaign fund through Dayan, in his testimony at a Senate hearing on November 23.
Accordingly, there are three of them, Alvarez said in the ABS/CBN program.
He did not name De Lima’s two other lovers but said the information was given by Dayan, when interviewed by senators after he was turned over to the House following his arrest.
Congressmen may ask her about her other lovers during the hearing today, said Alvarez, when asked if he has names.
