Christopher “Bong” Go sparked another City Mayor’s Office upright performance to cop its 10th straight win over Everball Columbia Computer Center, 79 – 72, on Tuesday night, February 3, in their 2015 Basketball Friendly Series Game No. 10 at the Davao City Recreation Center Alemndras Gym.
Go scored 31 points for the City Hall dribblers who won all the games thus far in the series mostly on a one-sided affair.
The sweet-shooting trusted aide of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte lit it up in the early going of the third period from the perimeter as the CMO dictated the tempo of the match.
Everball Columbia kept the game close but could not stop Go from giving CMO a 10 – 0 series lead.
Reyes led Everball Columbia with 18 points as Suarez had 16.
Joel Aberilla continued to step up for the City Hall dribblers finishing with 11 points on top of intangible plays on both ends.

Peloton, Cruz are top guns in 9th win
Michael Peloton and Jaime Cruz stepped up in a big way as the City Mayor’s Office stormed past Everball Columbia Computer Center, 114 – 89, on Thursday night, January 26, in Game 9 of their 2015 Basketball Friendly Series at the Davao City Recreation Center Almendras Gym
Peloton dished out a breakthrough performance as the reserve guard shot well from the perimeter to finish the game with 34 points.
Cruz shared the spotlight by banking in 16 baskets as the City Hall dribblers cruised against the Everball Columbia team that struggled to play defense.
Christopher “Bong” Go put up his usual numbers making 38 points with six baskets from the behind the arc.
CMO’s output was the highest and the win margin was the biggest so far in the series which dominated by the City Hall dribblers.
Reyes led Everball Columbia with 34 points as Cabrera and Suarez had 14 and 13 respectively.
Peloton and Cruz backstopped Go significantly in this game with their scoring romps while Glenn Escandor carried the loads of CMO in Game 8.
Escandor shot seven triples to finish with 21 points in the CMO’s 78 – 74 victory in the last outing.

Late surge propels CMO past IBP Davao
City Mayor’s Office played steely confidence and implausible composure to mount a last second surge en route to a pulsating 68 – 67 victory over IBP Davao on Monday night, January 23, in their Basketball Friendly Series at the Davao City Recreation Center Almendras Gym.
Eric John Flores made the game winning shots at the foul line with 8 seconds remaining in the game after he was fouled going to the basket.
Downed by 9 under the final two minutes of the game, the City Hall dribblers relied on the clutch plays of Flores, Christopher “Bong” Go, Joel Aberilla and Warren Cloribel to pull ahead and seal the win.
Go, the sweet-shooting trusted aide of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, scored game-best 29 points as Flores and Cloribel made 13 and 12 respectively.
Cadiogan led IBP Davao with 17 as Dioso and Gil Ciudadano had 16 apiece.
The win completed a sweet revenge for the CMO’s 82 – 74 loss in their first encounter of the year last week.
The series of games were part of the IBP Davao’s build up on its title retention bid in the 2015 National Convention for Lawyers Basketball Tournament set on March in Cebu.

keep unbeaten slates
POBLACION B and Talomo Districts kept their winning streaks by hacking out contrasting wins as the 2015 Duterte Basketball League (DBL) Inter-Political Basketball Championships resumed Friday, January 20, at the Davao City Recreation Center.
Poblacion-B crushed Baguio District, 92-76, behind Brgy. Capt. Erlan Guevarra who poured in 21 points while fellow Brgy. Capt. Rolando Bantayan and Brgy. Councilor Bitoy Cabantug chipped in 19 and 18, respectively.
Poblacion-B, thus, toted six wins and zero loss while Baguio District absorbed its fourth consecutive loss.
Talomo District, meanwhile, cruised through an easy win via default over Paquibato District. Talomo retained its unbeaten record, improving to 4-0, while Paquibato dropped to 1-4.
The cagefest is presented by Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte through the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor’s Office (SDD-CMO).
Davies Paints sponsored the jerseys of players in the league that aims to foster camaraderie among barangay officials in 12 districts of the city.
