With tail tucked between his legs, Pastor Jun Alcover, who trumpets himself as a fearless anti-communist, has chickened out from a fight with fans of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
“ My enemies sorry!.. . Hindi na maulit !!l,” said Alcover in a November 2 post in his Facebook account.
The account of Cebu City –based Alcover was flooded with a tsunami of searing comments after the chair of the anti-comunist party-list group Alliance for Democracy and Nationalism (ANAD), one of dozens of hurriedly-formed party-list groups funded and fielded by former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in the 2007 election, after Alcover described Duterte as a ‘criminal’ in a post.
Alcover was commenting on reports that public clamor is demanding that Duterte run for President in the 2016 election.
Readers found Alcover’s derisive adjective foul, and rained his account with counter-attacks that described him as, among others, bayot (sissy), amaw (moron) and tae (human feces).
Alcover initially put up a fight and declared his account open as a battlefield for commenters.
Sorry, hindi na mauulit, said Alcover in his latest post.
