Duterte law to make easy gay cops’ entry to PNP



You are gay and wants to join the police force?
If the Philippine National Police (PNP) says it has no room for ‘gay cops,’ run to Davao City Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and his Anti-Discrimination Ordinance.
Duterte said his Anti-Discrimination Ordinance protects everybody’s right to employment including that of gays who wanted to be members of the police force.
It is time for PNP to change its rules on gay cops, said Duterte on Sunday in the Gikan sa Masa Para sa Masa television program on ABS/CBN.
He joked that even the communist New People’s Army (NPA) is changing its view on gays.
He said that the NPA now even allowed same-sex marriage among its members. Reports had it that the NPA wed in rebel ceremony two male rebel fighters in Surigao province four years ago.
