One hundred fifty million pesos (P150M) worth of new equipment has been added to the inventory of Davao City’s Central 911, further enhancing its capability to respond to emergency.
The equipment, including vehicles and state-of-the-art gadgets, were turned over on Tuesday by Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to the emergency response unit and the Public Safety and Security Command Center (PSSCC), which has supervisory control over units involved in peace and order management and response.
Davao City is big city. We need more equipment to cover the area, said Duterte at the turnover rites. The new equipment will be distributed to various districts.
The search-and-rescue equipment included vehicles, ambulances, fire trucks, motorcycles, medical tools, protective suits and a P2 million Acoustic Hailing Device.
