Everball ends losing streak with 95 – 73 rout of Execs in Game 7

The wait is over. 

Everball Columbia finally put an end to its losing streak by besting City Hall Executives, 93 – 75, in Game No. 7 of their basketball friendly series on Friday night at the Genesis 88 Gym.

Everball Columbia got to the groove early and endured down the stretch as they snapped the six game winning run of the Executives.

Rico Kwan Tiu racked up 21 points to lead the charge for the Everball Columbia which absorbed a heartbreaking loss, 82 – 81, in the last outing.

Everball Columbia made sure this time around outscoring the Executives in every period en route to taste its first win in the series.

Macatabog and Martinez chipped in 16 and 12 points respectively for the Everball Columbia which took a 50 – 38 at the break and never trailed the rest of the way.

Christopher “Bong” Go top scored with 28 points for the Executives who got 11 from Eugene Labor.

 Unlike in the last outing where both teams engaged into a neck to neck battle, Everball catches fire early with seven players managed to score in the opening period.

 Macatabog spearheaded a scoring craze in the second period as the Everball broke away.

 Executives tried hard to come back in the game in the third frame behind Go and Labor.

 But the Everball managed to answer back as Kwan Tiu waxed hot in the final canto with 10 points of 21 total output. (Rico Biliran)
