In what is seen as a dramatic script to gain public sympathy, Senator Bong Revilla will surrender to the Sandiganbayan with his family in tow once the anti-graft court issues a warrant of arrest against him for plunder and graft in connection with the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) scam.
Revilla, an actor, is facing arrest after the Sandiganbayan found probable cause in the complaint that linked the son of former senator Ramon Revilla in the biggest corruption scandal in the country involving P10 billion of PDAF.
Revilla, on Thursday night, said that with his family in tow, he would turn himself in to the Sandiganbayan once the warrant of arrest is served today, Friday, June 20.
Also to be served the warrant of arrest are Janet Lim napoles, at the core of the PDAF scam, and thirty others.
The Sandiganbayan is still hearing the complaints in relation to the PDAF scam filed by the Ombudsman against two other senators, Juan Ponce Enrile and Jinggoy Estrada.
Napoles is already detained in the Army’s Fort Sto. Domingo in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on a separate case: for illegal detention filed by Benhur Luy, a relative and former employee. who spilled the beans on the scam.
