Vowing to take the lead in 2011, the Royal Mandaya Hotel last week introduced a new management team with the aim to place the 12-year old hotel back to its former glory.
The ‘power team’ introduced during a press conference last week by hotel manager Angel Baden Zafra is composed of Carol Bacaltos, director of sales and marketing; Mico Parcon, front office manager; Norman Eridao, executive housekeeper; Jessie de Leon, food and beverage manager; Edgar Chavez, executive chef; Eliezar Banggud, chief engineer; and Menardo Rebong, Jr., resident manager/human resource manager.
With long tract records in the hotel industry, Zafra said team members would make Royal Mandaya—one of the flagship industries of the Escandor family–as the first choice of tourists when in Davao City to bring back the glory days of the hotel through an aggressive marketing blitz.
We will give our guests the best for their money’s worth, said Zafra, who adds hotel staff are now in training and seminars to enhance their hospitality skills. RMB
